Telangana is the first state to deploy Medicines From The Sky projects.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia has launched the Medications from the Sky initiative in Telangana, which will use drones to deliver medicines to Primary Health Care Centers (PHCS). This allows life-saving medications, vaccinations, and blood to be easily carried to locations while avoiding traffic and other obstacles. The project was launched at Telan gana’s Vikarabad. Under the project, drones deliver vaccines and other medications to Public Health Centers. A drone built by SkyAir Mobility for Consortium partner Blue Dart Express completed the first trip, transporting a five-kg payload of vaccines to a community health clinic.
